The Show.
Part game show, part live theater experience, Old School Game Show never holds back. With live music, sketch comedy, and a real-time game show, the audience can expect the same kind of raucous energy a three-ring circus and truly inspired entertainment brings!
OSGS is a live interactive theatre experience done with all the pageantry and analog style of a 1970's television game show. The show combines elements of pub trivia, variety specials, video shorts, dance numbers, and comedy sketches to produce a completely unique trivia experience that tests players pop culture acumen. With influences as vast as vaudeville, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Andy Kaufman, and Battle of the Network Stars, how could you go wrong? The entire show is backed by an amazing live band playing original OSGS music. It's all the fun of an afternoon spent rolling around in the rumpus room- without the rug burn. Want to book us? We do private parties, festivals, and all kinds of wacky pop-up shows! Check out our Booking Page for contact info! The Games. When you arrive at the show the lovely usher, who takes your ticket, will ask you if you are interested in playing the game (you also have the option of just watching the show, you kinky bastard.) If you would like to play you will receive a name tag and your name will be placed in our official OSGS fishbowl.
At the beginning of the show 8 contestants will be called up to the stage (Price is Right Style) and divided into two teams to compete in the first round. The winning team of each round will win fun, fabulous prizes and the losing team will be replaced with new contestants. This continues over several rounds (each one a completely new original category) until the night’s greatest contestants square off against one another, Highlander style, until there is one final Old School Game Show Champion! Contestants have won prizes from fabulous sponsors like The Boston Music Awards, The Slutcracker, and Oberon! Check out some of our sponsors on our Sponsor Page. |
